We Help Companies Develop Common Sense Content and Social Media Strategies

Since 1999, we’ve helped organizations – large and small – develop effective and innovative digital media strategies and programs to meet their goals.  Our focus now is on helping companies develop innovative yet pragmatic content and social media strategies to increase traffic, enhance engagement and grow revenues.

Who We Are

We are a small two-person core team based in Reston, VA.  We frequently partner with other consultants and consulting firms who bring specific expertise to our client’s projects.

Robin Broitman Robin Broitman is IIG’s chief Internet and social media strategist.  With 20+ years professional experience, Robin’s expertise is helping companies develop effective websites, Internet strategies and online marketing programs.  She has worked on the testing and launch of a myriad of new media services and technologies – including HDTV, satellite TV, Pay-Per-View, the country’s first Video on Demand (VOD) service, Interactive Television, the Internet,  Broadband and social media.   Robin has served in leadership positions with major media and telecommunications companies including AOL/Time Warner, Discovery Communications, GTE (now Verizon), and HBO and has served as a consultant to a wide range of organizations.  Most recently, Robin served as Digital/Web Publisher for the National Wildlife Federation. John Eastmond John Eastmond is in charge of client project management and defining technology requirements for client projects.  He has 18 years of professional experience helping companies develop and implement new business processes and technology solutions. John’s expertise is helping companies to clarify their underlying business needs and translate these requirements into successful business processes and technology solutions.  John has served in management positions with the National Geographic Society and Verizon/GTE. Project Examples

Here are some representative examples of work we’ve done:

  • Led major website redesign for Discoveryhealth.com and oversaw strategic planning and day-to-day operations for the website, establishing the site as a major health portal.
  • Led market research and analysis that defined the overall user experience and website plan for AOL’s redesigned AOL.com website.  Also developed and directed comprehensive marketing programs to re-brand the redesigned website and drive traffic.
  • Developed content strategies, product templates and requirements documents for Email newsletters and Email subscription process for Revolution Health.
  • Analyzed holiday marketing campaign plan and recommended new strategies for the National Geographic store.
  • Developed comprehensive website redesign plan for Cable in the Classroom (www.ciconline.com)
  • Built revenue models and advertising/sponsorship packages for the website of a major cable network
  • Created and evaluated online marketing campaigns to drive traffic to a major cable network’s website.
  • Recommended registration & personalization strategies for the Internet division of a major media company’s cable networks, newspapers and content syndication businesses.
  • Developed online content distribution and licensing strategies for a major hospital.

  • Structured and negotiated content acquisition deals for the website of a major cable programmer.
  • Directed the RFP process and website design firm selection process for the Fannie Mae Foundation’s Knowledgeplex website redesign (www.knowledgeplex.org)
