I read an article this morning in Mashable about the NY Times new blog platform. Basically the new platform allows anyone to create a widget from NY Times news feeds for their own blog. I went in and had so much fun that I created not just one widget- but two of them. (See below)
You can add up to three feeds for each widget and can choose your feeds in two ways. You can either select from a drop down box of key NY Times content categories or search by keyword from 10,000+ New York Times Feed. Once you set up your widget, you can simply copy the embed code into your blog and presto- your NY Times widget (or widgets) shows up in your blog.
The Mashable article has good instructions: How to Make A Widget from Any New York Times Feed if you’d like a little more of a tutorial in doing this.
Have fun!
